Event: XES Premium Boutique Grand Opening

I was warmly invited to XES Premium Boutique Grand Opening. Not only just grand opening, it was also a preview for their Summer Collection!

It was established on March 2002 under Shellys Marketing Sdn Bhd. The core of the business concentrates on retail chain store management as well as local and export original manufacturer (OEM). In 2014, the brand has revamped and introduced a new tagline, "Superior Comfort for Happy Feet". (True to that, I see most of their shoes are quite comfy!). Currently, the XES brand has reached all over Malaysia with more than 80 outlets branched out across all major shopping and retail compleses. (Seriously! Quickly go check out their website!)

Kiehl's Fun in The Sun Blogger's Event

Fun in the Sun is always my favourite thing to do! But, I am struggling to keep my skin fresh as the T-zone is always oily and the other parts are always dehydrated. I love outdoor activities, especially by the sea! But, always coming back with dehydrated skin! I always do mask after coming back from the sea and I am still hunting for good stuff for my skin! Looking forward to attend this event and hope to learn more about skin care with Kiehl's as well as meeting new friends!

Food Review : Nasi Ayam Penyet

Nasi Ayam Penyet is my favourite food here in Kota Kinabalu. While the exact location is actually very far from town. 

Rumah Makan Daun Pisang (the shop's name) is located at Alamesra, near 1 Borneo Hypermall and Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS).

Taiwan WangAn Marine Awareness Education

This is the continuos post from 'My Taiwan Brief Summary'. Just realise that the storylane url was broken. So, I attached the article that I have written here. :).

This picture was taken in August 2012. I know is a very old post. But, the memory is still very vivid. The place where I first know how to ride a bike, know how to skin dive (in the process I gulped a lot of seawater), witness wild sea turtles in the middle of the night and learn more about the ocean.

Welcoming the Year 2013

There are so many things that I want to talk about. But, I have no idea where to begin.

Now, is already 2013. There is a list of new year resolution to achieve.

Hope this year is better than the year before!

I am quite satisfied with 2012. Although there is so many unhappy event happened. But, those were the things we can't avoid and we learn to face it, day by day. 

Wash, wash, wash away the all sadness and problems.

我大学的海洋研究院就来变成我第二个家了，今天一大早就被监督我的教授叫去与学弟妹探索潮间带小生物。

大糊涂的我，忘了8.30 时有课，半途就去上课了。好难过，没有的继续寻宝。

不过，教授叫我课完了去实验室帮忙学弟妹辨认螺类。开玩笑，他还说我很厉害，我当然没有他厉害吧！但是开心的是今天我学到新东西，还可以跟学弟妹联络感情。

还有，学弟妹也太棒了吧，既然找到那么多生物！

 这是学弟妹捡到的小生物，还有鱼类叻，好可怜。

这是宝螺，古代时是拿来当钱币用的哦！

重点是今天回家的路上，我载了一个无名氏去图书馆。因为研究院离图书馆很远，又远又偏僻，还有周五中午时间，巴士特别少，所以心想如果有人的话，就让他踏脚儿吧！我觉得很开心，因为给路人挂了笑容。同时也觉得她好勇敢哦！她并不是海洋学的学生，既然自己一个女孩去了遥远研究院附近的海洋水局管。

今天，可以说是开心的一天！但是还有很多很多的任务！很压力叻！压力到有一点点不想继续。哼！得加油！

P/S：其实，很想写我去台湾的经验，还有探索海龟的经验叻！

Look so scrufy~eww~ It was the afternoon walk to the jungle and my legs were on the natural prawn spa! Those tiny little prawn just came slowly (one by one) to clean off your dead skin. They were all hidden in the rocks if you really look into it!

Okay~That's it! Move on to the Turtle Journey! I can see turtle happily swimming on top of my head. @.@

It's been a long time

Oh yea~ I actually went for a jog today!

Today is the second week of Semester one Year 3.

Oh No! I am in year 3 already? We got an objective to achieve. Mount Kinabalu! Oh yea~

I am not in love

Yes, I should have foreseen the problem. Planing ahead or having plan A,B,C,D.

Lesson learned.

I don't know if my problem can be eventually solved.

So scare right now with the addition of exam stress. :/

P/S : 3 papers down.*Wipe of sweat*. I am not in love, it is my last piece of egg!

Final is around the Corner.

To be exact, is no longer around the corner, it just 4 more days! @.@

That was my mood 2 weeks ago, as things doesn't turn out right. It makes me feel so frustrated.

Now, why everything need to be done, cannot be done! @.@ till the skull going to explode. Yet, it's already exploded.

Hope as the time comes, problem dissolves slowly.

Now, I seriously in big trouble, I need to stay focus on my studies.

.....is that time table for final examination is out! Finally, is time to get back to track to study! But, there is still so many work undone, assignment and presentation. And, there is still pending assignment and presentation not given by the lecturer yet. No~~~ one more month to final. How am I able to survive through it? Fighting, fighting~~!!

Fed my coral with miced fish meat. Om nom nom! See the mouth? It was actually eating! Aren't coral a plant? Definitely NO! But, they have little friend which named zooxanthallae who undergo photosynthesis and supply some food for the coral! Their friendship is named symbiosis! Heee

Marine Awareness Month

Looking at the first picture. You will thought that I am on holiday! But, life will be too good if I can just stay overnight at Pulau Gayana, but, no. This is totally not an affordable place for student to go! Lol..

Yes, is the Marine Ecology Research Centre makes my life a little better. They invited UMS marine students for the marine awareness month to introduce MERC as well as coral planting and restoration. The research centre is located not far away from the resort and not far away from the dive centre where we went for our coral restoration.

The research centre have their very own marine aquarium, touchable-tank and many breeding tanks. Unfortunately, no picture to be shown. Camera was out of batt.

These little giant clams can grow up to 1 metre. Never see one before. Aren't they look adorable. By the way, the main theme for this marine awareness month is Save the Giants! Save them, there are only 8 species and 7 are found in Malaysia's water. 

Hehe.. my first time using recycled spoon and container!

So-me. This is what I always like to do! =)

Hope to go there again and again! I think I am addicted to diving. >_<

P/S: Guys, won't you feel bored that I keep bragging about the marine stuff?

Earth Hour 2012

This is the first time I joined Earth Hour out from my hostel door and my home!

It was inevitable a good memory. Though the main purpose of this event is to create awareness regarding global warming, natural resources depletion, species extinction and anything regarding the environment, but it gives me no impact. Really sorry to say that, it feels more like a celebration with people dancing, singing, cheering..hm.. Well, Earth Hour is probably a reminder to all!

Things that we really should and can do :

• Use recycle bags when you go for grocery shopping or even leisure shopping
 
• Use water bottle instead of always grabbing/buying plastic mineral bottle
 
• Ha! Switch off all unnecessary electric appliances when you are not using it, if possible, remove the plugs too because its somehow causes electric flow.

One thing I want to do after this event is to witness Earth Hour at the other side of the world because they really switch off all the light! Heee...

Time to Recharge!

Is the announcement of the beginning of mid semester break!

Yesh, is definitely the time to recharge. There are piling of assignment, preparation for presentation, lab reports, my-endless-to-do-list!

I am happy to have this one week ,why-only-one-week, holiday!

I have so many things to share! Stay tuned!

五个星期都过得很快。
但是都不能痛痛快快的过。
很飘浮不定，
很多事情发生，
很多东西要考虑，
很多东西想不通，
脑力也用得太多，
现在什么东西都不想考虑。

只是想保护自己。=）

也要很，非常非常感激一班自持我的朋友！

Morning Rise and Shine with Rocky Shore



 

Good morning! Rise and shine. I was so reluctant to wake up this morning because I was staying out late the night before (hunting for likes). I am not really sure what I do today is the right thing. It sounds so dumb to purposely go to the shore to look for their biodiversity?

ROCKY SHORE

This habitat is so harsh for animals or plants to live. This intertidal zone have alternate tide rise and fall, organisms are constantly hydrated and dehydrated, the strong wave energy, the change in temperature between tide, how can organisms live in such environments? But, there they are, able to survive. They are just so unique,aren't they? So, it doesn't sound wrong at all to have a look,right?

Are those barnacles? No! Barnacles have mouth opening. They are limpets. A type of shell-creature, scientifically named gastropods.

Have you ever thought what is in these creatures?

Tadaa! snail-liked creature. This gastropod have very strong foot,grazing on nutrients found on the rocks.

*Really hard to remove them from the rocks, they are really strong tiny animal. Don't try it, you might end up killed it. I have killed one of them :( guilty*

Will look for more environmental friendly approached to remove limpets :(

 Hardly can see the hermit crab and the fish. Good camouflage, I suppose. Those sea star, if you ever notice, it just looks like a rock! Couldn't believe we found the crab so small.

 Well, it turns out to give me more inspiration and even more confuse for what I want to do in my Final Year Projects. Contradict! Somehow, I am happy because I learn along the way. Peace!
